Utpadan Nigam Ltd. was constituted on 25 Aug. 1980 under the Companies
Act 1956 for construction of New
Generation Projects in the
State
Sector. The first Thermal
Power Station
constructed by UPRVUNL was Unchahar
TPS of 2x210 MW capacity & It
was transferred to NTPC on 13.02.1992
on 14.01.2000, with the
enactment of UP State Electricity Reforms Act 1999 and operation of
UP Electricity Reforms transfer Scheme 2000, operations of following
projects were transferred to
UPRVUNL on unbundling of UPSEB
